Bird In Chains

I’m once again in my Korean wave phase and currently I’m watching this old figure-skating drama, Triple. So this 18-y.o. girl Haru kind of develops a huge crush on her [really OLD—er] oppa—who’s not blood-related to her (thank god). And now there’s this anticipation of whether old guy crushes back… brushing off the issue of them looking like a pedophilia case (Haru looks and acts younger than her age)…or if she actually realizes that 2nd-lead guy is much, much cuter and age-appropriate.

Of course what draws me is the “i love you, but can’t” kind of flow of the drama, ergo, the story of this poem. I’m going for the emo tone here in line w/ the drama’s OST. I can’t understand the songs but they can really get you carried away and make you want to sit beside the window and stare blankly at the pouring rain. lol.

Unspoken words
Feel what can't be heard
Holding on to little moments
For all they're worth

Like photographs
on damaged film
The only mem'ry of us
are might-have-beens

Bird in chains
Like a bird in chains
Like a bird in chains
We're barred to fly

You and me
We're not as others are
Where hearts can meet to love's where
ours should part

My romeo
as the story goes
we took a chance and now it's
time to let go
