I Am 20

A song for anyone who still feels this young. :)

Remember how good it felt to be 20? When you're almost an adult, but not quite? I honestly think the early 20s is the best part of life than childhood. The liberty to make your own choices and the privilege to delay grown up responsibilities; the youthful skin, fresh off baby fats. Lol. But anyway, here goes another, err, written something. I have a melody in mind but I'll post it later when my laziness wears off.

***
I set the tone
And I can party alone
I'm never without my phone
I am 20

Sit on the bench
To ponder on if and when
Got a whole life ahead
I am 20

Chorus I:
Stuck in the middle of growing up and soon
Choices will matter and faults will fill the room
But until then I'll play in my cocoon
Be 20 and...

Put on my cape
Pretend the world is as safe
Holding onto my faith
I am 20

Save for a house
Cause every penny will count
See how grown up that sounds?
But I'm still 20

Chorus II:
Gather myself and let the world ensue
Make sure I don't stray the avenue
But until then I'll play the ingenue
For I am 20

Play my guitar
Tomorrow is still too far
I will rely on my stars
I am 20

Put my feet up
For now a smile is enough
Can still afford to take a nap
While I am 20
