Am I Living It Right?

There's a reason why I think John Mayer and I are kindred spirits. His songs somehow seem to be a more organized and more articulate version of my thoughts. Everytime I listen to him, I nod in agreement to the lyrics. If I were a guy, I would be him. Except, of course, I was born a girl and a planet away from being a celebrity. But just the same, JM speaks my mind.

Any one of his songs becomes my favorite on certain situations. I can't pinpoint which song rises above all, but at the moment, I have appointed Stop This Train and Why Georgia as my official soundtracks. Why Georgia, most especially. Because of these lines:

"I am tempted to keep the car in drive and leave it all behind...

'Cause I wonder sometimes about the outcome of a still verdictless life.

AM I LIVING IT RIGHT?

So what, so I've got a smile on....

Don't believe me when I say I've got it down.

Everybody is just a stranger but that's the danger in going my own way. I guess it's a price I have to pay.

Still, 'everything happens for a reason' is no reason not to ask myself if I am living it right."

That's pretty much the whole song. But that's my life. Thank you, John Mayer, for representing the lost and messed up minorities
