[VIDEO] Buwan (An Original Song)

Have you ever just stared at the moon and wondered what it sees? Or if it is trying to observe the people below it?

I have always been fascinated with the moon. There is a kind of mystery to it that entices me, like it knows something we don't. Whenever I feel confused or just plain lonely, when I see the moon I instantly feel unburdened, as if it absorbs the heaviness out of me so that I'm only left staring at it with awe.

So I wonder if the moon itself feels lonely. I have read a poem before that says the moon keeps waiting for the sun, and that theirs is the saddest love story, because they will never meet. And that gave me an idea for the 2nd song entry I sent for Philpop. It's entitled "Buwan" (duh. LOL), and it questions what the moon must feel seeing couples being in love...and that maybe the reason why it is alone is that it shines too brightly. Was it worth sacrificing love to see the world?

Of course, this still didn't make it to Philpop's top 100, but I'm glad that I got to write this song because I really fell in love with it (even though I might be the only one who did. Haha). I have always wanted to write about the moon, and Philpop made me get up and do it. So, thank you. Naks, dito nalang nag-thank you speech. LOL
